We specialise in the restoration and conservation of timber framed roof structures and screens installed within churches. Our extensive experience includes traditional splice repairs or replacement of primary beams, trusses, wall plates, purlins and gutter bases.
For church screen repairs, our carpenters can repair or carve new sections to match any existing design. We have also undertaken many screen relocations, carefully loosening every joint, dismantling and then reassembling the screen safely in its new position.
Herringbone Restoration always evaluates every project fully before starting work, wherever possible repairing and retaining original materials rather than replacing. We check the environment to ensure good airflow and protection from leaks, helping to prolong the life of wood.
