Three Clipsham stone plinths were created from new, (in keeping with the original collections within the grounds) for the display of the bronze statues, ‘Hercules and Antaeus’, ‘Cain and Abel’ and ‘Gladiator’. Each plinth is finished with a lime wash. A limecrete foundation and core supports the weight and allows movement of each plinth. Each course of stone is reinforced using stainless steel ties embedded into the limecrete core.
